For the 2021 AGM, the Executive Committee recommends the following five members for OISC Life Membership as a result their service to the Club.

Daniel Rossi: Daniel joined the club in 2006 (16 years). Daniel in his first years at the club was a core member of the A Grade squad to 2012. In 2013 he was named B Grade Captain and led the side with great example, a recognition by his peers as he was awarded the B Grade Players Player in that year. In 2013 he also turned his attention to coaching taking charge of the women’s side for three seasons. In 2015 he doubled up also taking charge of the men’s B Grade before in 2016 taking charge of the A Grade, a position he still holds today. In his tenure as A Grade coach he has led the side to the club’s first ever SAASL Challenge Cup semi-final appearance in 2016 and equaled the clubs highest ever Div 1 finish of 3rd in 2019. His coaching tenure sees him as the clubs longest ever serving A Grade coach & women’s coach. Off the field Daniel has also served on the committee and as secretary from 2011-2014.

Michael Manou: Mike came to the club in 2002 and given the club 16 years of valuable service since joining. The centrepoint of the A Grade for so many of those years, Mike brought a new level of professionalism to the club and the side, captaining the team in 2004 & 2006 and also serving as interim coach on multiple occasions. He has been awarded the A Grade B&F in both 2003 & 2004 and leading goalscorer in 2004. Mike was also a member of the 2003 Federation Cup squad and was named in the midfield of the OISC 25th anniversary team in 2006. Off the field Mike served on the committee and as secretary in 2005 & 2006 where he was the key driver behind the clubs strategic direction developing its first strategic plan. More recently he has been instrumental in the establishment of the clubs inaugural Over 35’s side, coaching its first year, also receiving the 2019 Players Player award for the side. He has been key in attracting a large number of high calibre players to the team and club which has supported the growth of the Over 35’s to two sides.

Eliza Sims: Eliza joined the club in 2015 and has been the heartbeat of the women’s side since her arrival. Eliza is without question the clubs most successful and decorated women’s player in the sides short history, a four time best & fairest winner (2015, 2016, 2019 & 2020), four time leading goalscorer (2015, 2017, 2018 & 2019) and three time players player winner (2015, 2017 & 2019). She has been the longest serving women’s captain taking the role in 2017 and leading the side to league championships in 2017 & 2018. She was also an instrumental part of the side’s first ever trophy with the Cup victory in 2016. Off the field Eliza has served for many years as a women’s representative on the committee and has undertaken extensive amounts of day to day administration to support successful operation of the women’s side.

Steven Sinclair: Steven joined the club in 2008 (14 years) and while never having played a single game has been a central point of the club and its administration off the field. Joining the committee from day 1, Steven has been a go to for so much of the clubs off field administration including coordinating, registrations, selections, matchday operations, kits & apparel and digital media. He continues to serve on the committee today in the role of Treasurer a role he has held since 2017. His efforts have been recognised with the best clubperson award in 2010, 2014 & 2018.

Justin Lai: Justin/”Butter” joined the club in 2002 and since then has become a much loved member of the OISC family. The ultimate clubman, if he is not playing you will always find him on the sideline no matter the team supporting them to victory. On field Justin has played in sides from the B Grade (where he was a member of the 2009 Reserve Cup Final squad and awarded the Players Player trophy in the same year) down to the Over 35’s and has has been a valuable and respected member of each team he has been a part of. Celebrating the 20 year milestone with the club in 2021, on receiving his award at Presentation Night he was recognised by the club with a standing ovation, a mark of the regard with which he is held by his fellow team mates.
