Season 2020 saw the A Grade go through the group stage of the Challenge Series undefeated; taking out the Palm/Mackay Shield as group winners. Their run coming to the end in the Cup following a tight semi final loss. The B Grade finished 3rd in their group and were knocked out in the round of 16 of the Cup. The C Grade were once again outstanding taking out their group, winning their third piece of silverware in the last four years. The D’s were once again competitive finishing 3rd in their group and were knocked out in the round of 16 of the Cup. The Over 35’s also finished third in their group and made it as far as the quarter finals in the Cup. The OISC Women stepping up to a higher division and despite the 8th place finish had a highly competitive season.

In his speech, President Julian Soriano reflected on how season 2020 very nearly did not happen thanks to COVID-19 but once it did how strong the club performed. He also reflected on how the club has grown this year welcoming many new faces to all sides across the club. Thanks were given to the clubs sponsors for their outstanding support once again, the coaching panel and the club volunteers and committee.

We were also privileged to have SAASL general secretary Steph Pappas join us to present the A & C Grades with their group winning shields and also to present Nick Penta with his award for Saturday conference player of the year.
