Season 2015 saw the A Grade finish Div 1 in 9th, the B Grade finishing the season well but remaining in 7th, the C Grade also in 7th position. In Div 7 the D’s performed outstandingly well finishing in 3rd position. The OISC women had an outstanding year securing their equal best ever finish of 3rd with a second consecutive appearance in the Cup Semi Final.
In his speech, President Nicholas Tallarida reflected on a strong pre-season and the challenging year that was for a number of the sides but focused on a number of positives to be taken from 2015 including the large number of new faces with so many of those being from the College, the opportunities given to a number of players to test their skills in higher teams as well as the good results recorded by the D Grade and the outstanding season of the Women’s team. Thanks also went to all the unsung club volunteers including line markers, club referees and linesmen and hoping for a positive 2016 season.
The final club function for 2015 is the AGM and Christmas Drinks to be held on Thursday, December 3rd at our major sponsor The Maylands Hotel. Further details will be made available in the near future.
