2013 AGM & Christmas Drinks

OISC will be holding its 2013 Annual General Meeting along with the Christams Drinks on Sunday December 1 at The Maylands Hotel from 2:00pm.

This will be a chance to meet our new coaches as well as have your say for Season 2014.

The club will also put on a few drinks for those in attendance.


Pursuant to clause 6.4 of the OISC constitution, OISC will be holding its 2013 Annual General Meeting on Sunday, December 1 at the Maylands Hotel from 2pm.

The following Business will be conducted at the AGM:
– President’s Annual Report;
– Treasurer’s Annual Report;
– Election of the Officers of the Club;
– Nomination of Life Members;
– Determination of 2014 competition;
– OISC 5 Year Plan Report; and
– Any other business raised by members.

Election of Officers

If you are interested in joining the OISC committee for 2014, please ensure a nomination is received by the OISC Secretary in writing, stating:
– The office nominated for; and
– Signed by the nominee, their proposer and their seconder (all of whom must be members of the Club).

All nominations must be received by the Secretary seven (7) days prior to the AGM. Please e-mail the Secretary.
Note that to nominate for any one of the “Principal Offices” (President, Treasurer, Secretary), you must have previously held an office.

Nomination of Life Members
“Life members” of the Club shall be elected by a three quarters majority of members present at the AGM on a recommendation of the Executive Committee.

For the 2013 AGM, the Executive Committee recommends Daniel Hurt for OISC Life Membership as a result of his outstanding service to the Club.

“Danzo” joined the Club in 2003 (11 years) and has been an active member, serving on the committee for the entire duration of his membership. Daniel has served the Club as Treasurer during 2004-2007 (4 years), and more recently as President since 2009 (5 years). His service also includes stints as Captain, as well as Coach of the Division 4 Reserves in 2013. Daniel’s Presidency has overseen the expansion of the Club to five men’s teams, the addition of the first ever women’s team, the approval of the Glenunga redevelopment and a host of club on-field achievements including the 2010 A Grade Division 2 title.
