Sunday the 24th of August 2008 | There's Hope!
The games this week were moved up to the St Ignatius Senior School, a happy hunting ground in previous experiences. The Div 1 Firsts are still fighting against relegation but a 3-2 win over Africa United helped the cause, now one point back from the drop zone with a game in hand. The Reserves were held in an exciting 3-3 draw.
The Div 3 Firsts lost again in yet another disappointing performance. The Reserves held some pride with a 5-0 win over Strathalbyn.
This week the Div 1 teams travel to Stirling and the Div 3s are up against Red/Blue Eagles.
Apologies for the lack of updates recently but this week there is a Div 3 Firsts match report and i have been promised one from our fearless leader Stents, enjoy the read!
Monday the 11th of August 2008 | REJOICE!
Both Div 1 games against Adelaide Uni were called off at the weekend following horrible conditions at the Superdome. The Div 3's gave up home ground advantage and played at Vipers, the firsts going down 7-1 and the Reserves held 1-1.
This weekend sees the Div 1 teams playing Adl Uni, an absolute must win game for the Firsts as they battle relegation.
The Div 3 Teams travel all the way down to Murray Bridge in an attempt to gain points and move up the table.
A new blog is published now also, check it out....
Thursday the 7th of August 2008 | what's going on?
The David Leach Testimonial Dinner has been postponed!
In it's place this week there will be an OISC dinner starting with presentations at 7pm at the Robin Hood Hotel. A FREE KEG will be made available and the $15.50 pint and parmi deal will be honoured this night.
The prelude to this is a quadruple header at Glenunga as the Div 1 Firsts face up against Adelaide Uni with new coach Gerald McInnes at the helm as they look to avoid relegation. The Div 1 Reserves look to make a move on second place as they also take on Adelaide Uni. The Div 3 Firsts, after a couple of shocking results, look to turn the tables on those ex-dodgeball players from Vipers. Whilst the Div 3 Reserves look to keep the momentum running with another win.
A big weekend with lots happening for the club, so make your appearance felt and enjoy the festivities.

Thanks again to Chris Papps for a great job as MC.
Unfortunately the results earlier in the day weren't so good as both teams were eliminated from the Firsts and Reserves Cups.
Monday the 16th of June 2008 | Back it up!
The Div 1 firsts were defeated 2-1 by Modbury Jets whilst the Reserves were held 1-1. The Div 3 Firsts picked up a deserved win and lifted themselves from the foot of the table, an extremely long second half (52 minutes!) cost the Reserves as they were eventually defeated 2-1.
Cup games this week as the Div 1 Firsts travel to Sturt Marion and the Div 1 Reserves host MSSC Blue Eagles.
This is followed by Quiz Night 2008. 7pm at Norwood Parish Hall. There is still plenty of time to book a table of 10. In what should be a great evening please come along and support the club.
Wednesday the 11th of June 2008 | Viva La Vida
All four teams had disappointing games this weekend past, not even the home crowd nor the yellow armbands could produce any points as the quadruple header at the superdome failed to live up the hype.
The Div 1s travel to Modbury this week as they line up against the Jets whilst the Div 3s are away to Flinders Uni, both are must win games.
Monday the 2nd of June 2008 | You Don't Give Up Ameobi!
The Div 1 teams enjoyed their trip to Africa both getting another win on the board for the club. Unfortunately the distance was too great for the Div 3 teams, both losing out to Strathalbyn.
Head down to Glenunga this weekend for a quadruple header, some great action and the bbq in full swing.

Monday the 19th of May 2008 | One Way to Pompey
A great weekend for the club with three teams bringing home the biccies. The Div 1 Firsts came from behind to clinch it 3-2 while the Reserves went down 1-0 to Adelaide Uni. The Div 3 teams both recorded their first wins of a tough season so far.
The festivities continued that night as the 2008 FA Cup was played out between Portsmouth and Cardiff City, a tap in from wanka kanu sealed the win for Pompey. Congratulations to Rob Balestrin for picking the correct minute the goal was scored in, maybe he can put the money towards those great sweatbands he's been creating on the forum! Also to Danzo, Vossy and Marty for purchasing Kanu the only goalscorer. And to Ronnie for buying Robbie Fowler, he did well watching the game from the sidelines!!!!
Match Reports are being updated now...
Tuesday the 13th May 2008 | Frank Spinelli
The Old Ignatians' Soccer Club extends its deepest sympathy to Sandra, Olivia, Thomas, Trent and the entire Spinelli family. We are honoured to recognise Frank as our longest serving player and one of our founding members. Frank's contribution both on and off the field has been fundamental to the success and growth of the club. A person that was always there for you, on and off the field, it is fitting that his final game involved winning a championship. Forever loved and respected as a son, brother, husband, father and OISC champion.
